Robert E. White, 87, of Janesville passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at Mercy Hospital. Robert was born November 28, 1922 in Lake Geneva, Walworth County, WI, the son of Adelbert and Hattie (Fredendahl) White. He attended several schools in Walworth County. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Robert worked for Bradley Knitting Mills, Rock County Bank, Fairbanks-Morris Company and retired from General Motors after working there 39 years. He enjoyed music, playing his drums, harmonica, guitar, organ and dancing, as well as fishing on Mason Lake. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 197 and St. John Lutheran Church. Robert was formerly married to Betty Aldrich, the mother of his two sons.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Susan), Daniel ( Johanne), five grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Christopher, Gavin and Geoffrey and his long-time special companion, Elvira Fazel. He was preceded in death by twin sons who died at birth, his sister, Marcia, his brother, Darwin and his parents.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Church, 302 N. Parker Drive, Janesville with Pastor Bond Haldeman officiating. Visitation will be at St. John Lutheran Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Burial with military rites by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will follow at the Milton Cemetery.
